Richard Strauss: Enoch Arden, performed by Andrew Milbourne and Matthew Edwards

Enoch Arden was originally a narrative poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.  In 1896 the composer Richard Strauss wrote a piano part to accompany the reading of the poem.  The genre is reffered to as Melodrama, and the piano follows the mood of orator, as this gripping story of love, loss, and sacrifice is told.
